A milestone night for the club — we had our first visitors! Five juniors and five adults from Fishguard Chess Club made the trip over to The Oak for a few friendly games, and what a night it turned out to be.

A Proper Pembrokeshire Chess Night

Ten players from Fishguard sat down against ten from Haverfordwest across a mix of boards, and the chess was brilliant. Juniors and adults alike got stuck in, and every game had something to enjoy.

Hugely proud of all the Haverfordwest players who took part and the Fishguard players who visited. Hopefully the first of many friendly and competetive evenings!

26 on a Monday Night

Including everyone else who came along to play casual games, we had 26 people at a club night — after only three months. That's something to be proud of.

We're just getting better and better. Always room for a few more though, so if you've been thinking about coming down on a Monday evening, now's the time.
